Texas Spine & Joint Hospital is a physician-owned hospital located in
Tyler, Texas, specializing in orthopedic and spine surgery, non-surgical pain management procedures and tests and diagnostic imaging.
Opened in December, 2002, Texas Spine & Joint Hospital includes an
18 bed acute-care hospital, outpatient surgery center, imaging center, two urgent care clinics, and a same-day appointment clinic. With a
total medical staff over 200 and more than 350 hospital employees, the
hospital performs over 7,000 surgeries annually, plus more than 15,000
pain management interventions and greater than 25,000 diagnostic
imaging procedures. Texas Spine & Joint Hospital treats patients from
local, state, national, and international origins. With top rankings
from multiple benchmarking and accrediting bodies, Texas Spine& Joint Hospital is a recognized leader in orthopedic and spine care.
Currently, Healthgrades includes Texas Spine & Joint Hospital among
America’s 100 Best Hospitals for both spine surgery (2013-2017) and
joint replacement (2015-2017). Texas Spine & Joint Hospital is a
multi-year winner of the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award
and Summit Award, given to hospitals in the highest percentiles for
patient satisfaction. In 2015, Physician Hospitals of America honored
the hospital with their annual “Hospital of the Year” award. Recently,
the hospital broke ground on The Project Rose Research Institute for
Sports Science, in partnership with Tyler natives and former NFL stars
Earl Campbell and Gary Baxter. The institute will conduct research and
treatment for sports and combat injuries, and, will seek philanthropic
funding for athletes and veterans who are unable to afford the benefits
of sports medicine treatment, recovery and performance training.
