TSA Link Policy

  • Definition: A “hot link” is defined as a hypertext connection from the TSA Website to a World Wide Web page maintained by another organization, corporation, or individual. Links are not considered endorsements or approvals by the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists of the sites or sponsors, or of any products or services involved.
  • Allowed sites: Sites maintained by local, state, or federal units of government; sites maintained by local, state, or national medical societies; sites maintained by local, state, or national non-profit organizations; sites maintained by US colleges or universities; sites maintained by TSA members’ offices that readily and accurately identify the office and that provide general information about the office, health information for patients and the public, and information on how to contact the practice; sites maintained by TSA-endorsed companies or organizations; sites that offer Internet-related software for users to download; sites maintained by organizations or companies that offer awards or recognition won by TSA and for which TSA actively competed.
  • Disallowed sites: Sites maintained by individuals (other than as described above); sites maintained by anonymous persons or organizations.
  • Requests: All requests for links must be submitted in writing, noting the name of the organization or individual requesting the link and the Internet address of the requesting link site.
  • Review: TSA retains the right to remove hot links to any Web sites that are found not to be in compliance with these guidelines.
