Exciting New Changes Coming to the 2025 TSA Annual Meeting
The Texas Society of Anesthesiologists (TSA) Annual Meeting is evolving in 2025 with a refreshed schedule, new educational content, and expanded programming to enhance the experience for all attendees.
The meeting will offer, more than ever, top-tier continuing medical education (CME) opportunities, with 43.75 CME credits offered this year, including ethics CME for the main Sunday morning session. The hands-on favorites, such as the Difficult Airway Management Workshop and Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop, are returning to the agenda. IMPORTANT NOTE – the POCUS workshop CME credits can be applied toward part 2 of the ASA POCUS Certification.
TSA 2025 features the inaugural Peer Support Workshop: Train the Trainer, which focuses on developing institutional wellness programs, as well as a special Sunday morning session, “Financial Acumen for the Anesthesiologist,” featuring fiduciary planners, investment experts, and an MD/MBA discussing personal financial strategy and economic trends.
Take note: lectures start Thursday morning at 8 AM with breakfast so you can spend the afternoon participating in House of Delegate activities, lying by the pool, playing a round of golf, or touring the Alamo and the Riverwalk. Additionally, our sponsors, VERTEX and PACIRA, are providing complimentary lunches on Thursday and Friday – please reserve your seat.

New this year, TSA introduces dedicated Saturday tracks for medical students, Anesthesiologist Assistant students, and anesthesiology residents. These tracks feature a targeted lecture series, a student & resident poster session, a residency program director “meet & greet,” and an anesthesiology resident & AA student job fair with participants from 11 employer groups so far—all designed to support early-career professionals and build future connections.
Enhanced networking events include Welcome Happy Hour Wednesday at 7 PM, an expanded Welcome Reception with an open bar (beer and wine) as well as a Saturday Night TSAPAC Reception honoring Diamond Club members and Key Legislative Contacts. The Annual Golf Tournament is an established tradition that continues this year with a later tee-off at 8 AM, accompanied by a light breakfast and coffee sponsored by Truist. Attendees will have to choose between teeing off with golf or attending the 7th Annual Rise and Learn: Promoting Women in Anesthesia Breakfast; consider purchasing a ticket for a mentee or colleague you would like to bring along.
This year, there will be no committee meetings scheduled during lectures or workshops, so you won’t have to choose between earning CME and participating in the governance of TSA and the future of our specialty. Learn and lead without conflict!
Planning to attend the TSA Annual Meeting with your family? We’ve got you covered! Full-day childcare (ages 4 – 12) will be available on Saturday from 8 AM to 10 PM for $120 per child. Kids can come and go throughout the day. Snacks will be provided; however, parents are responsible for supplying meals.
Looking for evening coverage on other days? Take advantage of the “Marriott Night Out” program offered by the resort—a perfect option for parents looking to enjoy a night out while their kids are cared for in a safe and fun environment.
Held at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, the meeting combines premier education with Texas hospitality in a beautiful setting, offering an unforgettable experience for anesthesiologists at every career stage. #TxAnes25
