336-2 | Committee on Bylaws: Annual Report. This large report engendered extensive debate at the Reference Committee due to concerns of the members that many powers of the House of Delegates were being devolved to the Board of Directors, but ultimately it passed at the House.
645-2 | Texas Society of Anesthesiologists: Resolution No. 1 – Corporate Practice of Medicine. This complex Resolution out of the Texas House of Delegates was referred to a committee of the President’s choice.

The major discussion item was the scheduled 5-year rewrite of the Statement on granting privileges to Non-Anesthesiologist Physicians for personally administering or supervising deep sedation that was approved as amended by the Reference Committee and from the Floor. (This official ASA Statement will appear on the webpage shortly after the Annual Meeting).

The resolution after passage, directed the QMDA Committee to begin a new “educational product for deep sedation performed or supervised by non-anesthesiologists”.
