ACTIONS OF THE MAY 3, 2015 BOD

SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
TSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MAY 3, 2015

  1. Recognized Christopher R. Cook, DO for his service to the Society as TSA Editor and Chair of the
    Communications Committee.
  2. Appointed Russell K. McAllister, MD as TSA Editor.
  3. Approved revised agreement between the TSA and Mr. Jaime Capelo, TSA Legislative Consultant.
  4. Approved motion to not renew agreement between the TSA and Mr. Mike Toomey.
  5. Approved motion to table revisions to the TSA Bylaws and proceed as follows:
    • That the TSA President will appoint an Ad-Hoc Committee to review Article 7-Meetings, Section 9.200-Committee on Annual and Interim Meetings, and Section 9.207-Committee on Education;
      and that the Ad-Hoc Committee be charged with preparing a report to the TSA Bylaws Committee
      by a date of the President’s choice. That the Bylaws Committee, by a date of the President’s choice,
      prepares a report to the Board of Directors, so that the proposed revisions may be presented to the
      TSA membership by the 30 day deadline established in the TSA Bylaws. That all members who
      have an interest be included on the Ad-Hoc Committee.
    • That the proposed Bylaws addition, Section 9.220-Key Contact Committee be referred to the Bylaws
      Committee for a report to the Board of Directors for consideration
  6. Approved allowing the TSAPAC to purchase 50 TSA Annual Meeting waivers, with the option to
    purchase additional waivers, at a twenty percent discount.
  7. Approved the minutes of the February 8, 2015 Board of Directors meeting as written.
  8. Approved renewal of membership in the Coalition for Patient Safety for 2016 at a monthly rate of $500.
  9. Certified the 2015 TSA House of Delegates Election results.
  10. Approved the following House of Delegates appointments:
    • Elizabeth Rebello, MD, Delegate, District 7, Place 13
    • William H. Daily, MD, Alternate Delegate, District 7, Place 13.
  11. Approved revision to the TSA Reimbursement Policy to include under ASA Annual Meeting
    reimbursement, ASA Officers who are members of the TSA.
  12. Approved February 17, 2016 as the next date for CPR Training at the Capitol.
