Society for Education in Anesthesia to hold Spring 2025 Meeting in Austin, Texas

The Society for Education in Anesthesia (SEA) will be holding their 2025 Spring meeting at the AT&T Conference Center on the University of Texas-Austin campus from April 4-6, 2025. The meeting hosts are Michael Hofkamp, M.D. from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple/Baylor College of Medicine and Tina Tran, M.D. from Johns Hopkins University. Barbara Orlando, M.D. from University of Texas-Houston is the chair designee of the SEA Educational Meetings committee and has helped facilitate this upcoming meeting.

The theme of the meeting is “Doing More with Less” and will feature a keynote address, panels, and workshops on this topic. The keynote speaker is James Herman, D.V.M., Ph.D., a clinical professor from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical sciences who will be speaking on medical education. There will be a panel with past Texas Society of Anesthesiologists (TSA) president Timothy Bittenbinder, M.D. along with former Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple Department of Anesthesiology Chair Charles McLeskey, M.D. and current Northwell Anesthesiology System Chair Stephanie Jones, M.D. who will give their perspective of “Doing More with Less.”

SEA will continue their tradition of holding a “Dine Around” on the evening of April 4, 2025 where conference participants can sign up to have dinner at nearby restaurants in Austin where SEA has made reservations. Kaitlyn Fox, M.D. from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple is the 2025 SEA Spring meeting social chair and will be facilitating this event. The meeting will also have a reception including dinner on the evening of April 5, 2025.

TSA members are encouraged to attend the 2025 SEA Spring meeting given its quality programming and the ability of many members to avoid airline travel.
